Probably the most important part of a build for any homeowners is what the fixtures and fittings will look like.
Traditionally, the builder generates approximate quotes from their set suppliers and adds a 15-20% margin to cover his or her time in managing supplier accounts.
In this scenario, homeowners not only pay the margin fees, but they are limited by the builder’s set suppliers. If the customer chooses a more expensive tap, not only do they pay the extra cost beyond the builder’s estimate, but they still have to pay the builder’s margin on top of that.

Builders are traditionally given just a few weeks to get a price back to a customer after seeing the design for the first time.

Sometimes a builder, trade or supplier may not be able to complete a project for some reason. They might go bankrupt, become injured or suffer some other crisis that brings the project’s progress to a grinding halt.

Before we begin a build, we open a two-sign Joint Security Account with you, with a bank of your choice.
Normally, builders juggle all the project money personally. To make ends meet, they often have to pay for outstanding debts with money from newer jobs, meaning your project funds might be going to a builder’s previous job – all before your job has even started!
Projects that funded this way are at constant risk of going terribly wrong.
